Dear Yolanda:

The Florida v. Zimmerman [Trayvon Martin, (minor) Trayvon Martin’s Parents (legal guardians)] may impact your appeal to Blessed Francis, the Bureau(s) of Prisons and perhaps charging authority at the prosecutorial level regarding long-term incarceration of minors for major felonies. I didn’t look into the legislation other than looking at some of the materials Sal gave me at Church. It’s exciting that two of the highest ranking people I know in the Church are working on this.
