[See poet Edmund Burke’s poem of the tide ebbing out with little hope of coming back in (1830) [the U.C. Davis English professor didn’t give us the poet or the title and forget the title but it was about the inevitability of the tide. The Professor didn’t see any evidence the tide was coming back. I should have told him based upon my experience, the tides have cycles and one can discern using (induction/deduction)].
