#SkyscraperHeavens (2015) Skyscraper Heavens is an antinovel which explores the fateful period of 1950-2015 in a historical fiction format. The work is set in Baug, a fictional Middle Eastern country inhabited by Khalid, our narrator and two cousins, Jahan and Jaleh. The nucleus of this research group meet under the auspices of quasi-governmental organizations and financed by a grant from United Corporate [UC] in a team effort to study a national revolution decades in the past, its causes and implications. Khalid, a Sunni, provides some counterpoint to the Shiite upbringing of his wife Zareen, Jahan and Jaleh as they discuss the formation of the Islamic Republic of Baug during the 1978-1980 revolution.
