#LosAngeles: “You’re either one of us or you’re ‘little people’.” #BladeRunner, A Film by #RidleyScott (1982)

Near the opening of movie Blade Runner, Harry Bryant, who portrays a Captain in the Rep-Detect Unit of the Los Angeles Police Department, coaxes Deckard, a blade runner played by Harrison Ford, to rejoin LAPD’s Rep-Detect unit with the ultimatum, “You’re either one of us or you’re ‘little people’.” The Rep-Detect unit is tasked with hunting errant replicants [humanoid robots] who have thrown the city into chaos.  Once back on the force, Deckard deploys his tracking prowess to find and take out Rachel [Sean Young], a replicant-shrew whom the force has of yet been unable to subdue.  Rachel is neither ‘little people’ nor a push-over and can suddenly become alluring, intelligent, fierce, witty, vulnerable, and a dang dangerous acrobat.
