Martial Law.
A religious-based government a la Iran wouldn’t work unless some religions were suppressed. The First Amendment’s Freedom of Religion all but forbids a State-imposed religion.
By “State” I am referring to the incorporated United States of America by and through the several states, but not any one state. I didn’t differentiate this in law school and no one told me in Constitutional Law I “State” meant one of the several states, NOT the Federal government of the United States. Too much time in Europe.
