“Original” in that Fox has taken an old Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, and adapted it to contemporaneous issues: oligarchs, virtue and of course, money.

Guy Pearce performed well, especially with Andy Serkis in demonstrating the business mentality of today with the Dickens/Poe echoes of yesteryear. One of Guy’s best performances. Inconsistent at times, as is the screenplay, editing and failure of the fourth wall, probably production scrunching and tight shooting schedules and/or script changes at the last minute.
