The Dodgers won the 1965 World Series and the 1988 World Series, among others.

The difference was we were 7 and believed with our teacher nun that together with a classroom or two full of energy, we could effect positive results for the Dodgers if the whole class agreed to root for the Dodgers. We all agreed.

In 1988, I was in disbelief. My bartender colleague from Torrance asked me about the pitch. I said Orel Hershiser was lucky and that I couldn’t believe bulldog did it.

My bartender mate from Torrance looked at me like I was a chump.  I’m sorry Orel.

How does civil defense color coding figure into all of this? Stages of Martial Law

“It takes a village!”–Hillary Clinton

“[John Adams] had had enough experience with town meetings at home to know that in order for anything to be done certain powers and responsibilities had to be delegated to a moderator, a town clerk, a constable, and , at times, to special committees.”

John Adams by David McCollough at 376

[tv commentators?]

“…the executive magistrate must have sufficient power to defend himself, and thus the people, for all the ‘enterprises’ of the natural aristocracy.

“Adams believed in a ‘government of laws not men,’ as he had written in his Thoughts on Government and in the Massachusetts constitution but…’The executive power is properly the government; the laws are a dead letter until an administration begins to carry them into execution.”

It’s rigged alright Michelle, but not by the 140 characters.

RICHARDNECRONIXON: Yeah!

JOHNFKENNEDY: I stood for hours while they played with my mic and the women my face and hair. I guess the media men wanted to see if I could take the standing and the back pain–some kind of endurance test those media people. Funny, I was shot dead sitting.

We can influence, as you do so eloquently Michelle, along with some other lever pullers in the military-industrial-media complex. Please don’t diminish us like some who call us tweeps.
