Why Can’t I get the Wine I like Where I live?

In Southern California, we suffer from a wine glut which forces prices down so winos like me can afford a very good $4.00 bottle or a magnum of Glen Ellen Merlot I got on Sunday for under $7.00. Glad they got rid of the deposit in CA on wine. More of a discouragement to beer which can cause diabetes.

We need a shower, not the garbage dump.

We are on a conveyor belt to an endstop which may be a garbage dump.  Like the holocausted in Nazi concentration camps waiting in line to be cleansed by a shower, we needed a shower after that long, long train ride.

#FreedomFollowsExcellence

Kick ass : “There can only be one in the long run.”

John Matthew Rubens added,

I like the fact that I’m so popular now as a member of The Commons 101. I’ve tried to stop some of the emails from Blogging 101 but I they keep coming (and I keep working, something I might not otherwise do, even in a California rain). I do find I write to more people via blogging 101. I kind of know what it must feel like to be a celebrity, politician or successful salesperson: every lead is attached to a person. I’m able to “touch” about 10% of the emails and like or post comments like this one to about half that many, the ones that incite me to write.

A Priest told me about freedom on @EWTN

I think he’s right.  He got it from an early saint like Augustine or Aquinas, anyway, he was a Franciscan Saint from the Thirteenth Century.

He said freedom is not anarchy, but a freedom to achieve one’s calling.  Like the journeyman that becomes the master builder deserves his drink after the toil of a “career”.

When the tests are over, one becomes a practicing lawyer (if the fees are paid, you don’t really need a client to practice, a practicing lawyer studies after all, even marketing).

When the practicing is over, one has the freedom to live freely in that zone, after all, it’s where the practicing lawyer or master builder live now.  Women are building with the saints too, did I mention Magdalene? “A kinder gentler nation.” George H.W. Bush.

How can we as an American nation founded upon war between men, do that without women?
