The standard “Happy Birthday” contained no copyright notice in Hill sister’s [composers] songbooks dated1922 and 1927: Good Morning to You Productions base claim [v. Warner/Chappell] on discovery of songbooks to void their 1935 copyright to the song [From Consequence of Sound email blog].
