@UCSanDiego lapel pins are odd to me. More than crucifixes, stars of David, Arabic Characters or St. Christopher medals near one’s voicebox, lapel pins denote a certain vague sense of superiority, something John Boehner might wear when he’s to be seen by his constituents. Maybe I’d do the same if I was paid for it. I wore my U.S. Census Bureau badge while working.
